Benjamin Donn’s 1765 map of TOR BAY, Devon

An important map covering Devonshire in its entirety.  A £100 award was offered for a large scale, one inch to the mile map of any English county.  Benjamin Donn stepped up to the mark.  He reckoned it cost him nearly £2,000 in the end.  Benjamin was a Bideford lad and a well known mathematician.
