I know this will be welcome news if your organisation holds events in Devon because we’ve been fully aware for a long time now that a credible, widely distributed What’s On magazine for Devon has been absent from the county until now. The reason we know this is because of the close contact we have with many event bearing organisations through our unique HUBCAST What’s On websites (which provide event information for the seven individual regions of Devon as well as for the main Devon-wide website). What’s great is that these organisations continue to tell us that event attendance figures remain buoyant.
The new What’s On magazine will be the final piece in the jigsaw for the team at Devonshire magazine, allowing us to provide the most comprehensive and indeed the only integrated Online and Offline event promotion in Devon, meaning that for organisations staging events, you can now access a high quality platform of websites and magazine seamlessy in order to promote your events.
Ultimately, we (Devonshire magazine) see ourselves primarily as marketeers, having been in the publishing industry for the past two decades and more. It’s taken us 6 years now to develop the totally unique HUBCAST software, which allows the event data that you enter into the websites to also be shared amongst publishing houses, effectively extending your promotion. The HUBCAST online event promotion service is free for you to access, but we’ve been aware of the need for a print based magazine, but have held back from publishing until this point in time because we felt it vital to be able to provide an effective online platform and to establish this before producing the magazine. We’re also now in the position to rapidly populate the What’s On magazine easily and accurately due to the massive levels of event data on the websites (previously to HUBCAST, collating and formatting events would have been extremely time-consuming and expensive).
