Remember, remember the fifth of November, Gunpowder, treason and plot.…
Weather willing, Devon’s the place to be in the summer time. When the main summer holidays appear, everything breaks loose with myriad events taking place day after day.
Sidmouth Folk Week is one of those events that for me crowns the summer. All your senses are assailed, sight, sound, taste, smell – it’s all there. I’m perennially amazed at both the effort of the organisers and also the attendees, of whom I liken to a migration of colourful, noisy birds!
Sidmouth always seems strangely peaceful after the hullabaloo of Folk Week. Long may this great event continue.
