Testimonials
I am really happy with the advertising I do with the Devonshire magazine. I advertised in it all last year and definitely benefited as a result. People were coming into the shop who had read the advertisement and until then had not visited us before. We also always keep a copy of the magazine in the shop for people to enjoy. I’ve spent a lot of money with Devon Life, Exeter Living and other glossies in the past, without getting any noticeable response, but since going into the magazine, I’ve been getting regular feedback from new customers throughout the year, who’ve seen my advert.
Nigel. I’ve done a lot of advertising in various glossies over the years, but the ‘Devonshire’ is the only magazine I’ve ever had regular feedback from.
We have been delighted with the response, it has certainly proved to be a worthwhile investment.
Did a couple of thousand pounds worth of business as a direct result of advertising in the last issue.
I can definitely say we sold a couple of properties as a result of the advert we had in the last magazine
“I always pick up The Devonshire magazine because for me it is Devon Life for real people. The articles are always interesting and the photography is really special. It’s a good quality magazine, with a high quality editorial content. Well done.
I find that the Devonshire magazine has has a great impact for my business and I am delighted with it!
Nigel, in terms of the riding school, advertising in The Devonshre magazine has been quite successful. Since 1st January (to mid March 2010) the website has had approximately 250 unique visitors, with the majority of people staying on the site for up to ten minutes. There have been more than 1600 pageviews. I’ve had people trying to book lessons for 8 weeks now, which I have been unable to do as we are not open until next month!!
Hi Nigel – We appreciate these features are not easy to put together as so many folk to try and keep happy. General feedback from other traders – and town council who we dropped off a couple of copies to – is that it’s a great article on Ashburton. Best wishes – Susan
Polly and I love the publication and know how competitive your prices are. He just wants to know where we stand, so I’ve given him all the figures, which show that advertising with The Devonshire mag has been more successful than any other magazine we’ve worked with this year!
Had them – and they all went within about an hour! (30 copies) You’re getting TOO popular!! Congratulations.
We placed a full page advert in the Devonshire magazine which generated over £3000 of sales to our Leisure Club. It was a very definite success and I can only say that the advice I was given on the layout and the design was very helpful and proved to be particularly effective.
Thank you to Nigel and the Team and I love the East Devon Hub too!
Advertising in the magazine has provided good regular sales of high value artwork.
Actually it was the first time I have seen the East Devon magazine. But I will look out for it from now on!
Hi Nigel, Congrats on a great Devonshire mag – it gets better every time – really attractive with useful info and articles I want to read.
Dear Nigel, I picked up your Dec/Jan 12 issue at Popplefords and I must say, it is first class! Lovely pictures, interesting snippets, plenty of information, spaced out so you can read and look and not be bombarded with blocks of adverts.
Superb magazine and everyone just loves it and all the superb photographs. Very busy now with Carnival and Tar Barrels
Nigel, your magazine jumped out at us. Wow what a lovely magazine it is.
Dear Sir, many thanks for you reply about posting your Magazine to me. I will willingly Pay £15 for posting it to me, because I really do like reading them, it brightens up these wet and wintry days and makes me look for things to do next summer.
Dear Sirs, Further to my conversation with Charlotte on the phone this morning re subscription to your lovely magazine, please commence our subscription with the April/May edition. Many thanks.
Hi Nigel, On our arrival home, we found that a neighbour had managed to obtain a copy for us! Thanks for the trouble you took, and the suggestion of reading online, something I hadn’t considered!! The magazine is a credit to you and our area, we enjoy every edition!!
Hello, I was reading the magazine this afternoon at my hairdressers salon, but I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed reading it and how informative I thought it was. Being a Totnesian, I particularly enjoyed the article about Totnes. If you have the time I would welcome a reply and also could you please let me know where I can obtain copies. Thank you very much.
Dear Editor, Loved the aerial shot of Topsham on Pages 62/3, is it possible to buy a copy ? Just like to say I like the magazine, particularly the story of the Exeter mail coach plus tide times etc. Many thanks.
I discovered a copy of The Devonshire magazine recently, and thoroughly enjoyed it – a wide mix of articles for all tastes, plus eye-catching design!
Just a line to say I think the front cover of this months magazine is absolutely stunning
Firstly please can I say how much I enjoyed the February/March 13 edition of the Devonshire magazine – my wife and I had a lovely meal in Kingskerswell’s Hare & Hounds pub a couple of weeks ago and we picked up a copy whilst there.
Dear Nigel, Congratulations on the continuing top notch quality of Devonshire magazine. It is first class, and if I can pick up a copy before they have all disappeared, I always do.
It’s a lovely and interesting magazine, I really enjoy reading it, that’s why I’d like to subscribe as it’s very hard to get my own copy – they disappear so quickly.
I find your events section essential reading as it probably is the most comprehensive of the local magazines.
I’ve just seen a copy of the magazine, very nice, beautiful actually!
Nigel, I work in InDesign and make ads and mags for JVC (I live in London and am just helping with St. Lawrence for my father-in-law) so know how crazy it can be. Really like the look of The Devonshire mag though, it’s a good read!
I picked up your magazine thinking it would be something to quickly flick through. Once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down due to such interesting content. My customers all thought the same and I’d really like to be an outlet please.
I don’t normally pay much attention to glossy regional promotional magazines; what little historical coverage they have is prone to recycling local factoids. I notice, however, that this magazine carries historical articles worth reading.
May we take this opportunity of saying how much we enjoy the magazine.
Big thank you to Viv at Devonshire magazine for featuring my new business and running a lovely story on my new venture in ‘Cream of the crop’ this month!
Just entered our courses for this year on the East Devon Hub – what a great facility thank you for thinking up such a great resource!
Thanks for the news. I have to tell you that I took your magazine to the Axe Vale Festival where it flew off the table – Very popular and very positive comments! Thought you may appreciate the feedback … and I hope we can be regular distributers?
