Dartmoor has a mercurial attraction for me, I find it…
Totnes Rare Breeds Farm
Mums and Dads, Grandparents, there’s lots for children to see at this lovely farm
Easter’s coming up and for many this means just one thing, children. Keeping kids occupied can be a worry, it doesn’t take long to exhaust the usual avenues and it really is great to get the car out and take a trip to somewhere that’s guaranteed to entertain your children fully and provide a great, memorable day out.
You park up at the railway station car park and along the path that takes you past the South Devon Railway station, and then cross the track to the farm.
Totnes Rare Breeds Farm is run by Sam Adams (see right).
Simply Silkie
Is that a ‘Hipster’ beard nanny?
Much sound deadening stuff in evidence here for the night patrol
A fine figure of a bird – never mind the double chin.
As rare as hen’s teeth these days
Love the fluffy hat and furry ears
A great place to visit with your kids
Cunningly fiendish red squirrels scurry through overhead cages, peering down at onlookers. It’s a rare chance to see Red Squirrels – one thing’s for sure, they’re just so much prettier than their drab grey cousins.
Are these geese or ducks?
Path to farm via the old railway station
There’s nothing like sitting on an old tractor
